New Emergency response Beacons Installed

We're excited to announce that Emergency Response Beacons (ERB) have been installed at Pambula River Mouth and Merimbula Bar Beach to enhance safety along our beautiful coastline. What is an ERB? An ERB is a solar powered device equipped with 4G & 5G video & voice communication enabling quick emergency assistance at hazardous locations. How it works: -Press call button: Directly connects to SLS NSW Operations Centre, available 24/7. -Remove the Rescue Tube: Instantly activates the ERB, recording voice and vision to assist emergency responders. Features: -Two cameras: One surveys the coastline; the other captures the user of the intercom. -Motion sensors for security, ensuring video recording even during potential misuse or vandalism. -Managed and maintained by SLS NSW with local volunteer support for a 5 year duration. These beacons provide a critical lifeline for those in need and improve safety for locals and visitors. Remember , the Rescue Tube should only be used by someone capable and fit.
