About Us
Surf Life Saving is an organisation that saves and protects life on Australian beaches.
The Surf Life Saving movement first began in 1907, since which time, volunteer lifesavers have saved more than 550,000 lives.
With the Pambula Surf Life Saving Club operating patrols since 1914, we have grown to become the strongest club on the Far South Coast and one of the strongest in Country NSW.
With our club motto "Vigilance and Service" our members are dedicated to providing a safe aquatic environment for all who visit Pambula Beach.
The Club encompasses all that is Surf Lifesaving, including: Patrols, Nippers and Cadets, Special Nippers, Junior and Senior Competition, Surf Boats and Skis (for competition and fitness), as well as Out of Hours Emergency Rescue (incorporating the use of IRBs and a Jet Ski).
Next time you are at the beach, watch out for us. Find the red and yellow flags and always swim between them.

What We Do
Patrols
The primary role of Pambula SLSC is to provide a safe aquatic environment for the community on our beaches. While doing so, our Clubs offer our members many opportunities to promote a healthy lifestyle, responsibility and purpose, positive social interaction skills, and of course having fun.
Support Operations
Support Operations are a critical part of lifesaving services in the Sydney Branch. Our call out team are regular called upon for assistance both in and outside patrol hours. This dedicated team of men and women who are on call 24 hours a day, provide another layer of support in keeping our beaches and aquatic environment safe.
The team use a network of support services, including duty officers, UAV operators, rescue water craft and IRBs to save lives.
Education

Our Club, through our volunteer training team, is responsible for the delivery of awards including, Resuscitation, Radio Operator, Surf Rescue Certificate, Bronze Medallion/Cert II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue), Inflatable Rescue Boat Crewman and Silver Medallion IRB Driver.

Surf Sports
Surf Sports plays a pivotal role in the surf life saving community and is unique in its intent, which is to aid in development skills necessary to carry out Surf Life Savings’ core purpose, saving lives on our beaches. Surf Lifesavers have the opportunity to compete in a range of disciplines including iron person, ski, swim, board, surf boat, springs, flags, distance running, pool rescue and IRB racing. Competitors also have many team events that they can take part in and they can do it from age 8 to 108.
